Spotlight Presenter and Deputy Chair Spotlight Focus Ltd. Dr Jim Taggart OAM has presented Spotlight with Darryn Capes-Davis since July 2020. Jim is a Chairman, Deputy Chairman to a number of Government Boards, Consultant, Risk Management & Business Development advisor.

I am a Chairman and Non-Executive Committee Member (Audit and Risk) and Financial Services Professional with over 30 years of Board level experience across the public, private (financial planning, investment, development) and community (Church, local area support and fundraising) sectors. Have driven change and have been actively involved in the community in both executive and non-executive capacities.

At Board level, some highlights include being a Member of: Investment Board for the Parramatta Diocese; (Chairman) Salvation Army Advisory Board (Business Appeal); Audit Committee Member, Hills Shire Council; Parramatta Stadium and TAFE NSW Western Sydney Institute.

I provide strategic leadership to assist with decision making that enhance the prospects for your business’s long-term success while maintaining short-term financial stability.

My vision has, and always will be, to add to the current philosophy and success of any organisation with which I am involved. Areas that particularly suggest my executive success have been centred around, but not limited to, raising considerable funds for organisations, critical thinking and development for Boards, especially leadership and direction.

I believe that the strongest contribution I have made in the area of Audit and Risk is the ability to operate such committees with strong contemporary and relevant corporate governance. Under my leadership understanding risk and putting in place processes that attempt to mitigate the risks have always been at the forefront of my operation and motives.

I am also the Co-founder of an online digital portal recruitment platform providing key potential employment opportunities to now over 15,000 people in a very low cost effective and real-time solution environment; the platform Iwant2 work.com is a contemporary, cost effective and robust tool.
